>>180310White House Press Pool Reports @WHPressPool - VP Pool Report # 8 - VP Remarks continue, rally ends.
Vance continued his remarks saying “I admire what you are fighting for.”
Recalling his remarks at the 2025 Munich Security Conference, Vance said the US and Hungary face a “shared threat from within” in the form of far left ideology in universities, among bureaucrats and in the entertainment industry.
The VP accused Brussels of attempting to impose its will on Hungary. “We see sovereignty challenged in Hungary. We see faceless bureaucrats in far away countries, telling you how to live how to pray, how to speak and how to govern,”
Vance spoke at length about the shared civilizational, religious and historic ties between the US and Hungary.
“You have stood up to the bureaucrats. You have stood up to the nihilists, and now I wonder, will you do it again?” Vance said as he neared the end of his speech.
He ended by urging Hungarians to go to the polls to vote for Orban.
Vance’s remarks were met by a standing ovation.
Orban came onto the stage. The PM and the VP shook hands, look out at the crowd and depart together.

He said President Trump had announced an era of “strong nations” and “called all the patriots of the world to arms” by declaring patriotism it a “virtue” not a “sin.”
