This is textbook communist behavior as communists hate Christianity for knowing a power infinitely greater than the state.
But this university did not die.
The Augustinians appealed to the Archbishop of Miami and were welcomed into America, the land of the free, with open arms.
Today, it stands as the only Catholic archdiocesan university in Florida and under the leadership of President David Armstrong has become one of the fastest growing universities in America.
