I received documents Tuesday morning, and have been working through it all. As it stands, the King county Officers Guild is directing members to not sign the new General Orders Manuel entry. Once the board meets and issues additional direction, I’ll let you know. Much of what’s been directed into the entry is performative, and puts any actual enforcement into the civil process. Similar to if you call the cops about personal property issues when separating from a live in relationship. Cops say handle it in court, they’re designed to handle criminal matters. Internally deputies and the Guild is concerned what will come next if the policy as issued is implemented.
