>>182498Congressman John Rose @RepJohnRose - Video: Candidly, I used to be someone who supported the filibuster. Let me explain why I've evolved on this and why Senate Republicans need to NUKE it.
1) Republicans have NEVER in modern history had a filibuster-proof majority.
2) That means unless the Senate GOP eliminates the 60-vote threshold, we will likely not see any of the President's priorities codified.
3) If Republicans don't deliver on the promises we made to Americans in 2024, we'll lose our majorities in November. Period.
4) And frankly, I don't want to wake up to a Speaker Hakeem Jeffries and a Majority Leader Schumer.
5) Both have gone on record stating they will blow up the filibuster — like they tried a few years ago before Manchin and Sinema stopped them — and shove their radical agenda down the throats of the American people, including packing the Supreme Court, adding two extra states, and abolishing the Electoral College.

Congress has a role. Congress has to step up and fulfill that role, that obligation that the Constitution assigns to us. We owe it to the men and women who are serving our great nation."
