U.S. Coast Guard @USCG - @USCG’s greatest single wartime loss has been found.
USCGC Tampa has been located off England. All 131 aboard perished in 1918, the largest single American combat loss of WWI. ROVs will support efforts to survey and document the site.
We remember Tampa’s crew, honor their sacrifice, and carry forth their legacy in defense of America.
