Argentine Navy vessels ARA La Argentina (DD 11), ARA Sarandi (D 13), ARA Rosales (P 42), ARA Robinson (P 45), ARA Piedrabuena (P 52) and ARA Bartolome Cordero (P 54) steam alongside U.S. Navy Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) and Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Gridley (DDG 101) during a bilateral maritime engagement in the Atlantic Ocean.
Nimitz is deployed as part of Southern Seas 2026, which seeks to enhance capability, improve interoperability, and strengthen maritime partnerships with countries throughout the region through joint, multinational, and interagency exchanges and cooperation.
