>>183493Mario Nawfal @MarioNawfal - He called Lebanon's 95% currency collapse years before it happened, and nobody in power wanted to hear it.
Fouad Makhzoumi, the Lebanese MP, billionaire and leading candidate for prime minister, says he watched the country walk straight into financial ruin while warning anyone who would listen that the strategy was doomed.
When the Lebanese government government decided to start issuing Eurobonds to attract capital as the cracks were already forming, he says he cautioned both that it was exactly the wrong move at exactly the wrong time.
The warning went nowhere, the currency went on to lose 95% of its value, and the country was hollowed out by what he describes as a combination of the deep state, Hezbollah, and decades of deliberate financial sabotage.
Now he is running to repair the very system that ignored him, on the argument that being right early should count for something.

Video: Lebanese MP, billionaire, and top PM-candidate, Fouad Makhzoumi, is standing up to Hezbollah!
He says Hezbollah has threatened to kill him for what he's doing, but he's not stopping.
In an exclusive sit-down, he made the case for a historic reset: Lebanon negotiating with Israel, reclaiming Beirut block by block, and using Trump's presidency as the unique window to thread the complicated needle of striking peace and sovereignty.
"Since 1984, they attacked Lebanon. What did we get? Destruction after destruction."
He has a no-holds-barred message to the World: End the hostage taking of the Lebanese people
