>>183496Matt Walsh @MattWalshBlog - Every decade in modern American history can be identified and defined by its own style, its own approach to music, film, fashion, its own aesthetic. That seems to have stopped right around 2010. The 2010s don't really have their own unique feel, even in retrospect. The 2020s certainly don't. We're more than halfway through the decade. What are the movies, music, style, and trends that this decade will be remembered for? It's like we fell into some kind of cultural blackhole 15 years ago.

The C.A.R.E. Program provides a non-police response to individuals experiencing mental health crises and socio-emotional distress by deploying trained mental health professionals and EMTs to deliver appropriate, compassionate care, crisis intervention, and basic medical support. With this expansion, we are solidifying our commitment to prioritizing compassion over criminalization for those most in need.

Through Chicago Grows Together, we are bringing long-overdue investments directly into communities that have faced historic disinvestment, while also building national partnerships that will strengthen parks for generations to come. @ChicagoParks

Today I traveled to Sacramento to advocate for critical funding and support for housing, homelessness, wildfire recovery, and continued preparation for the 2028 Games. I met with Governor Gavin Newsom, Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas, Senate Pro Tem Monique Limón, and other leaders.
For so many years, homelessness only went up in Los Angeles, and housing was dramatically underbuilt. Now, we have reversed these longstanding trends, and we are seeking to continue our strong partnership with the state to accelerate our progress.
