Sandeen @Sandeen57 - I visited the Uncle Remus Museum in Eatonton, Georgia 12 years ago. A humble place, overseen by a 70ish year old black woman. She told me Putnam County had banned the books from school years ago until she chewed them out for 3 years. Finally won.
