Wolf of X @WolfofX - In 2012, Toronto resident Adi Astl spent about $550 of his own money to build a simple wooden staircase giving safer access to a local park trail after learning the city estimated an official staircase could cost between $65,000 and $150,000.
City crews later removed the staircase over safety and permit concerns, but the story quickly went viral across Canada.
Then-Mayor Rob Ford personally thanked Astl for the effort, and after public attention grew, the city eventually installed a new official staircase for around $10,000 — far less than the original estimates.
The handmade staircase became a symbol of how ordinary people can sometimes solve problems faster — and cheaper — than bureaucracy.

But that did not stop the man from farming on the land. He continues to harvest crops using tractors and combines.
Surprisingly, the residents of the area love the view and never complain about living next to an urban agricultural field.
