Trump $250 Bill Act in February 2025 to change existing currency laws allowing images of current and former U.S. Presidents still living to appear on dollar bills & direct the Bureau of Printing and Engraving to print $250 bills with Trump's portrait on them like Treasury Secretary Bessent displayed during today's White House briefing. House Financial Services Cmte. has not yet taken action on the bill.

50-47: Senators for the first time in 8 attempts this year voted to advance an Iran war powers resolution, this one by Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), to end unauthorized U.S. military action against Iran to the Senate floor for future debate and votes. Four Republicans Cassidy (for the first time) Collins, Murkowski and Paul voted Yes. Fetterman (D-PA) voted No.

Craig Caplan @CraigCaplan - Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, whose Iran war powers resolution advanced in the Senate last week, signed onto to a letter today with Schumer & other Senate Democrats requesting CBO determine the cost of the Iran war: “Your timely and comprehensive estimate of the immediate and long-term budgetary consequences will help ensure that the Iran war remains subject to rigorous and appropriate legislative oversight."

Craig Caplan @CraigCaplan - House Update: Members will now have one more day for their Memorial Day holiday recess, which began May 22nd, before returning for votes on Wednesday, June 3rd instead Tuesday per leaders. Next week's 3-day work week is expected to include the postponed vote on the Iran war powers resolution by Foreign Affairs Ranking Democrat Gregory Meeks, who said the vote would be held on the next "non-fly-in" day for members, which is now Thursday.
