Asked why Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez said she hopes Vance is the 2028 nominee, VP replied: "I don't think much about 2028. As you know, my attitude is, let's do a good job now. Let's continue to try to make some wins for the American people. We can worry about the future when the future comes, but we got an important midterm election here. Q on if Vance would commit US would not resume full combat operations in Iran during 60 day peace, Vance said "I can't commit to anything, because obviously it depends on what the Iranians are ultimately going to do."
"If we've got to do more, of course, that's that's kind of up to the Iranians, if they try to rebuild their nuclear program, if they try to start shooting at commercial vessels again, that's going to change our calculus.
