Ethan Preseau is a 28 yr old Navy veteran who was declared brain dead after doctors said his thalamus was completely black in an MRI. His family had no hope left. The funeral was planned. He was set for organ donation. Then he woke up. Doctors and nurses call it a totally unexplainable miracle. He’s now responding to commands and will move to a specialty rehab facility for traumatic brain injuries. Ethan’s favorite holiday is the 4th of July and this year he gets to celebrate it alive when his family thought they’d be burying him.
