A Midwestern Doctor @MidwesternDoc - This actually makes a lot of sense. When the vaccine was pitched, I felt they wouldn't be able to get it to market before the pandemic had subsided, so they were in a race against time to get one to market. By doing lockdowns/masks/social distancing, they delayed herd immunity thereby protecting the market for their product (which would make it impossible for people to get herd immunity so it could be sold forever as an annual booster).
