National Fraud Enforcement Division @DOJFraudDiv - "Public service is a public trust, and violating that trust for personal enrichment degrades the integrity of our civic institutions,” said @USAttyChattah for @USAO_NV. “The Department of Justice, alongside our federal and local law enforcement partners, remains deeply committed to rooting out public corruption through our Public Corruption Strike Force and ensuring that federal tax dollars are used for their intended public benefit, not to line the pockets of government officials."

National Weather Service @NWS - Lala is forecast to strengthen and it could be near hurricane strength when it approaches the Big Island of Hawaii by early Saturday. A Hurricane Watch has been issued for the island. Winds are expected to be the strongest downslope of higher terrain, over headlands, and through passes.
Heavy rainfall associated with Tropical Storm Lala will begin to impact the Big Island Friday, spreading westward across the island chain during the weekend. This rainfall may produce life-threatening flooding and mudslides, especially in areas of steep terrain.
