Five hundred to 600 fraudulent voter-registration applications were submitted to election offices in 13 Minnesota counties.
Ronnie Williams, 58, and Lorraine Lee Combs pleaded guilty to conspiracy to engage in voter-registration fraud.
Court documents reveal:
Federal prosecutors say both worked for an unnamed foundation to register Minnesota voters in 2021 and 2022 and were paid for each completed application.
Williams and Combs wrote down phony names, including “Brad Montly” and “Harry Jhonson,” along with fake addresses, Social Security numbers, and other information. Williams handed the forms to the foundation, which then submitted them to county election offices.
The motive, authorities say, was money—a BRIBE.
