Key engagements during the visit included:
🏢 Celebrating the new NIDDK Clinical Research Facility with NIDDK leadership and scientists, City of Phoenix leaders, and leaders of the Gila River Indian Community.
🤝 Meeting Pascua Yaqui Tribal Council Members and Tribal Research Review Board Members at Walupe Inetene Kari (Pascua Yaqui Guadalupe Health Center).
💬 Visiting the Ak-Chin Indian Community leaders and learning about their current priorities and challenges.
