We announced up to $25 million in additional Farm to School Grants, up to $70 million to upgrade school kitchens and help cafeterias prepare more meals from scratch, and a new nationwide campaign to help schools purchase locally produced food. Nearly 30 million children eat school lunch every day as part of the National School Lunch Program. By connecting our farmers with our schools, we can give more students the nutritious food they need to learn, grow, and thrive. All while strengthening American agriculture and rural communities.
