An additional display had been set up on a rectangular table in the middle of the room: a stone that a display card said came from the Great Wall of China and a letter from the Guangxu Emperor to Grover Cleveland acknowledging America's congratulations on the occasion of the Empress Dowager's 60^th birthday, according to a display card.
The artifacts and the table were removed before the leaders arrived. It was not immediately clear why.
Per the White House, the leaders will receive a tour of the National Archives from Bradford Wilson, the archivist of the United States. The Senate confirmed Wilson to the role in August.
Across the street, there's another riser area, outside, for press capturing the arrival and departure of the leaders. That report will come from a different pooler.
More to come.
