Trad West @trad_west_ - Before we use this list to condemn everyone around us, we should examine our own conscience. Have we harmed someone who depended on us? Taken advantage of another person’s desperation? Kept money we owed? Excused a grave sin because admitting it would cost us something? Go to confession. Stop the wrongdoing. Return what you stole. Pay what you owe. Repair the harm as far as you can. Help the people you once ignored. Pray for the conversion of sinners, including your own. Practice fasting, give alms, and defend those who cannot defend themselves. God is patient, but not indifferent. Every hidden injustice is seen. Every cry of the oppressed is heard. Every grave sin demands either repentance or judgment. “The Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all who wait for Him.” (Isaiah 30,18) God hears the cries of those we hurt. We should remember that when we ask Him to hear our prayers. Here are concrete ways: >Prayer of Reparation Pray the Act of Reparation to the Sacred Heart or the Chaplet of Reparation. Every prayer of love offered to God helps heal what sin has broken. >Confession & Assigned Penance Go to confession often. Fulfill your penances faithfully, they are not small, but real acts of justice and mercy.
