U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops @USCCB - Please join us in praying for Pope Leo XIV as he concludes his Apostolic Journey to France. As pastor of the universal Church, the Holy Father encouraged young people and the newly baptized, affirmed that illness and frailty never diminish human dignity, and called for dialogue and reconciliation among nations. We ask the Lord to bless the seeds of faith, hope, and peace sown during his visit, that they may continue to bear fruit in the Church and in all those he encountered.

U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops @USCCB - Saint Wenceslaus, martyr: the Duke of Bohemia, schooled in human and divine wisdom by his grandmother Ludmilla, he was strict with himself but peaceable in administering his realm, and merciful to the poor. He ransomed a vast number of pagan slaves destined to be sold at Prague, in order that they could be baptized. After experiencing many difficulties in the government of his subjects and in their instruction in the Faith, he was betrayed by his brother Boleslaus and killed by assassins in the church at Old Boleslavia in Bohemia.
