Today started with a gaggle and the VP’s meeting with service members at about 6pm local time.
VP and Dan Sullivan gaggled with the press for about 13 minutes in a hangar after meeting with troops at Elmendorf Airforce Base.
VP praised our troops stationed at the base and expressed again how confident he is in Dan Sullivan and the work he’s doing for Alaska.
Sullivan addressed the pipeline, talked about how “for the first time ever” it is a priority of the USA. “Stay tuned” on the developments from the admin.
Vance says the pipeline is a priority of the admin because Sullivan won’t stop bothering them about it. Points to this as an example of why Sullivan serves Alaska well.
Vance and Sullivan both addressed impoundment for infrastructure projects. Sullivan argued that Alaskan infrastructure is in a better place due to the Trump admin.
Asked what the biggest issue for voters is, Vance said each voter is going to make up their own mind. He noted that the choice between GOP and Dems, in Alaska, is choosing for someone who fights for you or someone who stays home.
