Toyota is a company from an allied democracy. Geely answers to the CCP, a designated foreign entity of concern. That is not citizenship. That is a Trojan horse.
Europe already sold a storied Swedish brand to Beijing and called it a rescue. It was capitulation. America is not going to commit the same industrial suicide so Volvo can share brake calipers with its Chinese owner and pretend the software wall will hold. Ownership is the door.
