Mario Nawfal @MarioNawfal - Photo: 🇮🇷🇺🇸 Iran's FM is taking a victory lap with a U.S. Congressional report on downed American aircraft.
Araghchi:
"In May, the Congressional Research Service admitted that Iran's Armed Forces had taken out 42 U.S. military aircraft.
Now: 81. Real toll is far higher."
The report never says Iran took out 81. It counts every aircraft lost or damaged since the war began, friendly fire and drones included.
Still, Washington hasn't exactly been forthcoming either.
Senator Chris Murphy says the Pentagon refused to let him visit Al Udeid, the biggest U.S. base in the region, or give him a war briefing.
He called it part of an "unprecedented, unconstitutional effort" to hide the war's costs, but the Pentagon says it was just following a travel restriction Hegseth issued in March.
Tehran is stretching the numbers, but the U.S. keeps leaving it plenty of blanks to fill in.

Proof? CENTCOM won’t let a sitting Senator inspect bases it claims are fine.
