DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - I would never flame a well-reasoned disagreement. You raise excellent points and you may very well be correct.
What brings me to the Hegseth side is how Obama handled this at the opposite extreme - with quietly disposing of the body of Osama bin Laden. That, IMO, was a display of weakness. Extremists have been well aware of and preying on our good nature for decades.
