When someone faces an overzealous prosecution and the crippling weight of incarceration, the pain and heartache reach the entire family—especially the children.
Families do the time right alongside their loved one. I’ve seen it up close, and watching a child suffer is something you never forget.
That’s why I built a support system and community through Weaponization Watch. Our work isn't just about exposing overzealous prosecutions, it's about helping families through the humanitarian crisis that grows out of these prosecutions.
We talk about and watch children slipping through the cracks. I applaud organizations like @Tunnel2Towers for helping families. But what about these families? What about these children?
These kids matter too. Their well-being. Their health. Their education. Their FUTURE.
I recently created support groups for these families, and it warms my heart to see them lean on one another. Sometimes having someone who understands your heartache makes all the difference.
