While the country deals with open borders, crime waves, and crushing costs, the media’s big play is strapping a helmet on a reporter and sending him into the wind for the money shot.
Fox Weather’s Robert Ray is live from Destin as Category 2 Hurricane Isaias makes landfall with 105 mph winds. He’s braced against the gusts, mic in hand, nearly getting knocked over, calling the blast a fight while the rain and wind slam the coast.
The cameras love the drama. The real story is the Gulf Coast Americans securing their homes, checking on neighbors, and getting ready to rebuild once it passes—no helmet required. Storms come and go. Media theatrics fade. American resilience doesn’t.
Go inside Robert.

Fox News aired DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin after ICE agents shot 28-year-old Oscar Belgal during an attempted arrest in Manhattan’s Marble Hill. Mullin said Belgal was on probation, had an immigration detainer, and was suspected of knowing something about a gang-related shooting that involved a CBP officer last year. Belgal tried to run. Agents used force after he escalated. Mullin’s line was simple: if sanctuary politicians will not take care of their own streets, President Trump has made it clear the federal government will.
New York did not lose control of Marble Hill by accident. City hall advertised the welcome, ignored the detainer, and then acted shocked when a man already on probation decided the law did not apply to him. That is the whole sanctuary bargain. Protect the suspect, dare the agents, and hand the camera to whoever calls the arrest an outrage. The probation, the detainer, and the gang-shooting tie get buried under the word “shot.”
A CBP officer was already in the story from last year. That should have ended the debate. Instead the same politicians who will not police their own neighborhoods want a veto over the people who will. Fleeing an arrest is not a civil right. An immigration detainer is not a suggestion. If the city will not pick him up, ICE will, and the man who runs decides how that ends.
