Some highlights to check against transcript:
On Sherrod Brown:
He said Ohio voters "threw him out" over inflation, the border and the economy, and that Brown lost to Bernie Moreno POTUS said he endorsed Moreno and endorsed Husted "with the same fervor."
He called Ramaswamy "my very great friend," said "I ran against him, and he was not easy," and said Ohioans would be "amazed at how good he is, how smart he is." He tied Ramaswamy to cutting taxes.
He said he wants "strong Republican majorities in the House and the Senate, up and down the line."
POTUS said he does few campaign stops: "I'm making a lot of stops. This is, I think, about the only one I've been to. That means I like Ohio."
He spent a long stretch praising Husted as "one of the most respected men in Washington already."
He said Husted was an All-American football player and a safety with a record 17 interceptions. He attributed this to a conversation with a football figure he named "Jon Gruden" at a Dayton rally the prior week.
On Columbus statue being taken down in Columbus and the holiday’s name being changed:
POTUS said the name "Columbus" was taken away, and that "they took the name away from our country" and "really away from Italian Americans." He called those responsible "left. Maniacs."
POTUS said [Brown]'s daughter "voted to rip down the 22 foot statue of Christopher Columbus right in the heart of the city."
POTUS called [Brown] "the candidate of the Marxists, the communists, the anti American radicals who want to tear down America's heritage."
