I think maybe I have figured it out why it is beautiful. Maybe it is because the sadness depicted comes from a love for life, but the inability to live out life like you want to or how you want it to be, or how you think it could be, is not possible. So in this sense it is actually something positive or hopeful to some extent, if you see it in a "hope for change" kind of way
