I get what you mean, they do numb you (I'd argue that pretty much everyone alive today finds some way to numb themselves, only a small few consciously), but I don't think it's quite that simple. Otherwise I would've gotten my interests back when I wasn't taking any. Maybe it's another issue caused by dopamine receptors being damaged by meds/porn/vidya/youtube over time, not by the meds specifically. Maybe that damage also affects how you develop interest in or perceive things and activities
