chairba? also yerba mate is technically not "hispanic" it's native american. the spaniards (and then non-colonizing immigrants from other places later) just liked how the natives sat around doing nothing and drinking mate all day and they started doing it too. which has absolutely nothing to do with our poverty rate 2 centuries later btw
