Sometimes you can't just "act" those things into existence. I tried and failed multiple times. I have no reason to believe in neither the "law of attraction" nor the "masculine willpower" brands of fanciful thinking because that has just not been my experience at all. It's like, if you didn't want your cat to die why didn't you do something about it? Sure, willing things to happen can work sometimes, maybe even most of the time if you're lucky, but not always. And sometimes your will fails at getting you even the most basic stuff (both material and immaterial)
