The grappling hook is great fun. You can only use it twice before it incurs a cooldown so it's not OP, but it has a very long range and you can strafe while using it like spooderman

I credit the original DS duology for the trend it started. Games were getting ridiculously easy and it helped buck that trend to some degree. It changed minds in a lot of studios. But I couldn't care less about soulslikes. They all look stupid and silly to me
