Is it 100% clear that he was even shot? I know there is a pic where the bullet can supposedly be seen, but is that bullet visible anywhere else? Could it have been doctored in? Where was he even shot in his ear and does the blood spatter match up with that?
Out of all the bodyparts he could have been shot, he was shot in the ear. If you were to stage an assassination attempt, where would you place the shot? I think I would use the ear because it's relatively harmless, but it has great effect together with the blood. It makes him look curageous with the blood on his face, yet he raises his fist in defiance

No, it makes him look strong. It will drive people that maybe were on the edge, towards him. He's being portrayed as the leader of the resistance, the one who is going to fight the deep state and so on. His ratings went up by a lot after the attempt
If you were a president and just got shot at multiple times, would you get back up to raise your fist? How can he know that he is totally safe? How does he know that none of his closest secret service people won't try to finish the job? and so on
