I may have found the issue with my truck
For the crankshaft sensor wiring I used those shrink tube+solder all-in-one things. On one end of the wires I used the original connector which had old dirty copper in the wires. The solder in the shrink tube things melted and flowed and stuck the old wires to the new wires, but not THAT well I guess; I pulled a little bit on the connection and the joint wasn't loose or broken, but I pulled harder and they came apart.
Anyway, I cleaned the wire better and did a more diligent solder joint. All good so far.
