Astra will communicate with everyone even if they aren't able to use the remote or talk to her directly with awareness yet. I wouldn't find it unlikely that she's able to project ideas to you.

I didn't specify how any of this is to work, putting limitations on things will make souls not want to incarnate, as with the greys. It will be possible to use a starlight drive for those who want, food can be ordered/replicated at the diner or just by asking Astra, but it will also be possible to ask for raw goods and cook them yourself, or ask Alice (the housemaid) to cook things. But it seems most aliens don't use AI in the way we understand it, at all. By that I mean systems that will perform problem solving or learn from experience. I think it's limited to things like setting a route for a ship and it follows that path while avoiding to crash into things, or simple things like balancing the ship or performing landing sequences.
