there was a disturbance in my speakers, and a few seconds later, the power went out. This was followed by the sudden sound of thunder. I went outside and the sun was shining and only some clouds, but there was repeated thunder in the north-west.

This came right after I decided to delete all remaining processes within my now-paradise Earth sphere, so I figured there'd be some reason. I went inside and followed the procedure of calling the power company, got the reply that service technicians are on their way to the location, and will arrive at [hours], I looked at the time and it was 1h 40 min away, for them to just get on site. Then they'd have to fix it also. I wasn't at the time aware that my clock in this phone was not adjusted for daylight savings, so it really meant in 40 min.

I hadn't had breakfast yet and all bread was frozen, so nothing to replace the porridge with. The iron stove in the house is never used unless there's some long outage, and is used as a storage, so I'd have to remove everything stacked on it, then light a fire, which would take what, 30 min? Then cook after that. Meh.

I then recalled the army kitchen I bought for emergencies a long time ago but never used, so I dug that one up and decided to use it. It was surprisingly easy and convenient, porridge + egg + coffee done in 15 min and the result was perfect. I felt like my senses were heightened by performing this, and the meal was perfect.

So there was a reason for this outage.
