Was it this:?

So you are implying that RMS wants a child bride? A cute young girl for him? If such is so, I hope he is victorious in such.

>RMS may be a bit messed in the head, poor guy, but that doesn’t mean you can look to him as an inspirational fellow childfucker, you sicko.

Why not? State your reasons. Your society doesn’t allow me to marry cute girls, I don’t “fuck” anyone. Your women are simply enemies who have the power of the state behind them.

Your clever: you got 3 years old from rabbinical texts regarding a Roman princess and her question to a Rabbi. Yes, I know that story too. Muhammed’s 8 or 9 year old girl is probably more my style: he had many years of her looking very good and cute.

Bride price is 50 pieces of silver (if rape (taphas)) (Devarim chapter 22, verse 28), or typically 20 pieces otherwise.
In afghanistan it was 200 dollars in the 90s.
Yes: I understand you white americans feel the “bride price” is death and torture: that is because you are enemies of all men on this planet: and either you or we must be destroyed completely. You won’t have it any other way: you so completely worship your white women. PAL.

The old religions all allow child brides.

late I realized that is this aspect of muslim religion and "shariah law" perhaps the most important one that gives it such vigour, an impetus which the decaying western nations with their degenerate societies cannot possibly match
here lies the way forward if the christian nations wish to survive, otherwise they will perish

in gtk-based applications (at least), when none of the fonts in the system provide a glyph for a given character codepoint (in a given character set, almost always unicode these days) then there's some software that produces a "missing glyph" image that looks like pic related, an empty rectangle which, if the font size is large enough, contains the character codepoint digits

anyone knows exactly which piece of software produces this image?

my guess is that it's the text renderer (perhaps libfreetype, or libharfbuzz, etc.) but i wasn't able to confirm it quickly. it would be appreciated if someone can spare me the potential hours of trawling over masses of source code

RMS requests examples of censored emails. Anonymous 10/19/2019 (Sat) 10:25:50 [Preview] No. 13847 [Reply] [Last 50 Posts]
RMS has requested an example of messages that were defending him that were deleted or blocked.

He says that with a good example of this it will be possible to show what is happining, and suggests that it would be best to use an example of one that was deleted on the guix list etc, as such would be an example of how those trying to push themselves into control on GNU are censoring.

(A good example would be one that would strike the Free Software community as reasonable, and one that doesn't make broad political statements (ex: without referancing feminism, SJW) etc, just defends RMS)

I know you've had your messages deleted, and I've seen tons of "Message missing" posts on the mailing lists (obviously I don't know their content). If you have alt-links to non-censoring mailing list archives to show, or copyies of your own, please post them so I can send them back to RMS.

This is way too common of an occurrence now, in all seriousness. There are a bunch of professional victims bullying their way into groups they probably have very little sincere interest in in order to force their personal political opinions on to people who are entirely unprepared to deal with this kind of aggressive and toxic litigiousness. It's not just the stallman thing, it's everything now. Especially groups based around an interest in technology and computing. Politics are suffocating tech. It really sucks. You're being disingenuous if you're really trying to act like this old autistic man did anything to deserve the level of hostility he's being subjected to. These people are bullies. What they're doing is wrong. It's not right to run around trying to destroy people's lives because they say something mildly un-pc.

>don't need to buy these expensive silver paste, just the simple one will do the job
This irks me because there are multiple companies that manufacture and sell thermal pastes and each claims that their "PATENTED TECHNOLOGY SILVER-INFUSED SUPER THERMAL PASTE 3000 GAMER-GRADE" is better than the others on the shelf without giving an ingredient composition list, and you end up needing to rely on experimentation by others to determine which thermal paste is suitable for your application, but then you realize there are multiple variables that go into these tests and that 1 degree difference could have been due to an external factor, and you don't trust the generic paste because that small tag with mandarin written on it makes you suspicious. This same concept applies to other products.
>unless you try overclocking or other dumb shit
Only when I want to run a software application on one of my older computers to escape the analytical botnet and other garbage, the fan always stays on the highest setting when the CPU is overclocked, and my dedicated calculations computer is cooled via refrigeration.

Autistic rant because fuck corporations that don't strive to manufacture products that are the best in the competition for the money.

Probably should have responded earlier, if only to avoid paranoia about potential shenanigans. It's all related to the broken 404ed sticky.

Shortly before the neco-bump, I stumbled across an old post over on /operate/ discussing a potential fix for another 404 issue. What the hell, I figured, and necro-bumped a thread from page 10 to force a rebuild of the entire board. Didn't work, no surprise, as the post on operate was discussing how to fix an entire board that went 404, not a single 404ed sticky thread.

Whatever. The sticky thread is fixed now in spite of (not because of) my fooling about.

My only addition to the thread topic is an honorable mention for Raspberry PIs. I regularly leave three of my PIs running in an unconditioned room at the height of daytime summer conditions (37'c+). I forgot to shut them down one day when it topped 41'c for several hours. No problems at all. Granted you don't want to try that with a live, expensive, gaming rig. However, a lightly stressed remote file/wiki/security monitor/etc. server is perfect for the plethora of fanless SOC based technologies these days. And, you can save a ton on electricity costs and support infrastructure.

Aside from fan failures being more common, shitty heat dissipation characteristics are par for the course for most laptops. I've never had a laptop flat out die from overheating, but I do have them go wonky during normal operation all the time from it. Even in an air-conditioned room. Now I always use a chiller pad, and listen to colleges bitch about how unstable fucking windows is for some strange reason in between asking why the meeting room is a little warmer today. Queue up: "Why is your laptop the only one working?" and "Isn't that the laptop the VP of marketing upgraded from because it kept overheating?" When pressed, I just claim it's because I'm using Linux. Very few of them make the connection to the stupid looking nerdy little fan pad sitting underneath.

Tell me /tech/. I want to build an offline nearly Netflix like repository of data for consumption while living off grid. By off grid, I mean living in my car. I need something that will store a good amount of data (I download 400TB yearly), and will last for awhile. I prefer upgrading my file storage every 3-5 years, or longer. Problem is the more drives, the more space it takes up. After downloading what I believe to be a sufficient amount (500TB sounds good), I will go permanently offline. This is sort of similar to a prepper type scenario, but more personal, I just wanna be a hermit with a loving family in the woods. Advice on the build/s and what I can do?

Only from neglect, having them sit to long (just like the SSD Meme, HDDs can fail for lack of powering on from time to time), or overuse. When you are like me and have them sit on a shelf for a month at a time, and then pull it down to either watch something or organize the data, they tend to last for many years.

Anonymous 10/06/2019 (Sun) 02:57:58 [Preview] No.13757 del
so the orca.tech site changed to openinternetaccess.com (seemingly legit free-vpn with no paid option probably datamines the fuck out of you though at worst and only 1 ip everyone shares) so the cloud based proxy checker is no longer avaliable. There is another way i found to test the proxies slow as fuck though http://www.cybersyndrome.net/pc.cgi (many sites to check proxy lists and software too) also to scrape this is neat but hard to figure out how to set the crawler https://github.com/assnctr/unfx-proxy-parser/releases
and fuck those sites i said to scrape from in the OP post still use http://proxydb.net/leecher but put these in the scraper http://www.rssmix.com/u/8641698/rss.xml http://www.rssmix.com/u/8641936/rss.xml http://rssmix.com/u/8641696/rss.xml those rss links combine blogspot proxy rss feeds maybe endwall anon can update proxyload.sh since the issue was that those rss feeds lead to defunct proxy sites.
check socks5 proxies here https://check.dichvusocks.us/ (most likely better options this just works)
now proxycheck.sh is the best way i have found to tell if the proxies will work in proxychains or over tor in general. put at least 3 proxies over 127.0.0.1 9050 in /etc/proxychains.conf and set the strict_chain to at least 4. Now you can use clearweb over tor and not be cuckflared to all hell. Also safer than using tor imo but i am probably wrong. I'm not even a skid just speculating here.
