last time i updated my bios, all that happened is my CPU got slightly worse due to obscure hardware security "fixes"

also i saw a video about a PC where updating the bios caused it to brick the GPU due to some insanely convoluted vBios conflict or something, where the guy needed to update the gpu vbios before updating his mobo
