Is there anything The Bear can't do? It's always awesome if you can fix something yourself. We can only do a minimum of car related stuff.
Interestingly, similar thing happened to us some months ago though we were driving home from the hardware store. It was 'just' the slave cylinder but you gotta take out the entire gearbox for this so it wasn't cheap. It's all labor cost, the parts cost nothing.
Anyway I made sure everything was running smoothly, we got stuck in the middle of a major road at an intersection. But it was all cool. Some passerby even came and helped host push the car over the intersection into a parking lot so we weren't blocking traffic until roadside assistance towed us to the mechanic. They came within 10min and the car was fixed on the same day. Germany fuck yeah.
