We thought that at the beginning, but not so sure anymore. AI is the new google. NPCs can't do without ChatGPT anymore. People aren't paying for googling either, they pay with having their personal data being collected and sold to ad companies. Same will happen with agentic LLMs. Imagine how much info they can collect from a user with full device access and constantly being fed real-life data and the most intimate details. It's a gold mine for ad companies. The AI agent will then constantly pester you with product suggestions. This is the way it's going to be. More specialized things like pay-per-token are questionable. Indeed people aren't going to pay to create AI porn, which is becoming illegal almost everywhere on top of that. Businesses will have to pay for AI to stay competitive though. So no, sadly I don't see the bubble bursting.
