At the moment I think the majority are just waiting for 8ch to come back up since codemonkey said he's working on it. Give it a few days and if nothing happens then traffic here is bound to rocket as people get tired of waiting.

Regarding fragmentation, the best thing to do would be to have plenty of active discussion right now. If 8anons arrive and see the board looks dead, they probably won't stick around. There's some critical mass of active posters needed for a anonymous community like this to be self-sustaining and we need to make sure it at least looks like we're well over it.
