Imagine using something where you need to replace almost every single default program with something else, and will probably end up disabling several features by running random scripts from the internet in order to get rid of telemetry or whatever, only to reinstall it two or three years later cause it has become slow and unusable, when you could instead just use something else with sane defaults, useful default programs and which largely maintains itself
