They should be forced to honour each sale. When I saw the original Reddit post it had been active for 8 hours. How no one person noticed a massive spike in online orders for a specific purchase category is beyond me. It took them almost 10-11 hours to respond when they took down their website. If this was something malicious, it concerns me how long it took them to do anything.

Coles does Purchase authorisation on each order. Even with PayPal these are refunded very quickly compared to other PayPal transactions that can take days.
