Industrialization is a bloody process no matter what - millions of Indians, many more so than Ukrainians for the USSR, died to support Britain's industrialization. Stalin had to do it all in 10 years and under economic blockade. Historical necessity is historical necessity.
I have my own criticisms of him, but that's a dumb one.
If you could get over the Holodomor propaganda from Ukrainian nationalists, would you love Uncle Joe?
