Cool, somehow I've never heard that one before. But you're right, the VFTL version is nicer.

Seeing as I could post, this seems to be on your settings or stats. I would try different browser, converting the file, a different file.

Hopefully one of these works. If not, you should contact the site owner, might be a bug.

Might as well find out everything about site owners while we are at it.

I hear it. Think it is a similar drum sound combined with orchestral parts.

Can't we just forget everything about Cobain?

Cobain was the psyop of a generation. Shit had a negative impact on me (I'm in my mid-30's) for a long time. I was just forming my own musical tastes when his suicide happened, and my local alternative station literally played every song from every album in order (which I recorded on tape) after his death.

It's music that has a negative effect IMO but I still like it.

One thing that is interesting is that out of their whole discography it seems they have a high percentage of songs that got regular radio play. Most of the songs are half decent if it's your thing. Lots of singles and even the songs that aren't billboard singles still got a fair amount of play.

>psyop
I'm unfamiliar with this term. My search says "psychological operation". You mean, the government killed cobain, or that he had a strong psychological effect? Or that he was some sort of distraction to do what?

When I was younger I listened a great deal to Nirvana, as well as slipknot, linkin park, system of a down and various other names which all fall into the same group: Young, moronic and ignorant choices.
I'm too young to be affected by his death and quite frankly I find the whole cobain ordeal tedious. I've seen people, younger than me, trying to become and emulate Kurt in their lives. There's too much focus on his drama of a life than the actual tunes the man made.

Of course music doesn't have to have "good" or "positive" in it, just check this classic Whitehouse track. Beware, it's a bit ruder than Kurt's grand apathetic serenades.

As for the radio play, his wife has to make money some way.

Let's move on.

>I've seen people, younger than me, trying to become and emulate Kurt in their lives.

That's basically my point, whether or not it was an intentional psychological operation is beyond the scope of this board but the mass media certainly pushed him as almost the definition of a generation

I see, yes I very much agree on this. Can't you see why I would like to move on? This man is no longer important.

I can second soulseek.

Used to use it well over a decade ago, it was awesome then.

Soulseek is great because of the quality of the collections of the users. Everybody is basically expected to maintain a collection of well maintained and complete, albums. It works like a really old file sharing program (with some nice features for discovery) You can almost be guaranteed that if you search and download some song you like, and browse the user that you downloaded from, and download absolutely random tracks from them, you will find things you really like.

And then when you know that artist or album, you can get it in high quality.

Can't say enough positive about slsk. Just make sure to share some quality and full works
