It is and isn't the bodysoul complex. It connects them but when they unify you will unlock more parts of your being.

An important note is that you have to internalize the functions of the assistant souls one way or the other. Every tradition does it differently.

You are like a passenger in the car in the beginning (in the womb/ first years of being a baby). Then you become the driver (when you start to walk and co) then instead of needing a car mechanic (assistant soul) you learn how the car works and able to fix it. Then you can reach the levels when you are the car itself. With that you can use the car fully. Then as you completely merge you literally become Optimus Prime and can change forms and whatever.

Astral projecting is like getting out of the car in the middle of a highway without being aware of the car lanes. Either your consciousness gets hit by a car or someone wrecks your car and now you have to wander back home 100s of kilometers.


Also at higher levels your spirit energy gets bigger than your body itself so instead of sending out a crucial part of your being you just bilocate the extra energies and if anything happens to their form the raw energy comes back to you. Instead of projecting you create a servitor or psychic drone and drive that with your consciousness. Far safer.

Not to mention assisted AP feels like you are being abducted by aliens and if you freak out in the process your body sucks in your spirit so hard you will be unable to use it because your survival instincts forbid it.
