Term Limits For Congress Could Save America From Utter Demise

Upwards of 80% of Americans favor term limits, yet entrenched politicians in Congress – and the lobbyists who need them to advance their special interests have found ways of quashing them time after time.

America’s great middle class – once the envy of the world – has steadily shrunk over the past 50 years. The special interests who fund incumbents are looking out for everybody but us. And so we get higher taxes, lower incomes, and bigger government. The same dynamic has also played out in the political sphere, with a larger and more bureaucratic government weakening personal liberty.

The terrorist threat and crime wave that have breached our collapsed Southern border are more indications of the erosion of the American way of life. So, in addition to the well-reported opioid crisis in America, something that rightly concerns all of us, there is another plague in the land – politicians addicted to being in office – the subject of my new book on the need for term limits, “Unshackling Democracy.”

Whether the onus of high taxes or the decline in decent jobs is your top priority, or your right and duty to pass on your traditional values to your children, you should be very concerned that the cords by which “we the people” control our government continue to get more and more threadbare.

First, foremost, and most difficult, we must introduce an amendment to the U.S. Constitution to impose term limits on members of Congress. Only by limiting U.S. senators to two six-year terms and members of the U.S. House of Representatives to three two-year terms can we tip the balance of power back to “we the people” and away from the economy-killing and government-expanding laws that entrenched politicians support at the behest of special interests.

Second, we must disallow shenanigans that enable politicians to profit at the public expense. Just as insider trading is illegal on Wall Street, it should certainly be forbidden in Washington. During the 2020 elections, 302 members of Congress accepted campaign donations from pharmaceutical companies totaling $14 million. Pfizer, which developed one of the COVID-19 vaccines and therefore had a vested interest in the outcome of congressional legislation, donated to 228 members through its PAC. Scandalously, 48 members of Congress invested in Pfizer.

By enacting tough rules requiring members of Congress to place their personal investment capital in a blind trust, we can stop them from benefiting from legislation they support or oppose. The current system creates too many opportunities for politicians to personally gain from their votes, blinding them to the best interests of the constituents who voted them into office to serve the public.

Third, we must stop Congress from exempting itself from the laws it imposes on the public at large. Members of Congress need to eat their own cooking. If Obamacare is such a terrific healthcare system, then members of Congress should not be gifted with premium contributions that are illegal on the Obamacare exchanges.

Zelensky Changes Law To Allow Democratic Neo-cons To Fight For Ukraine

We often hear so many of our politicians and fellow American voters crowing about how Ukraine needs to keep fighting Russia. Well we have some very good news for those people: now they can join the Ukrainian forces to fight Russia on the front lines!

Foreigners and "stateless persons" will be allowed to serve in Ukraine's National Guard, according to a decree signed Feb. 21 by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The announcement, published on the presidential office website, comes as the government attempts to ramp up mobilization efforts in 2024. The new law goes into immediate effect as of Feb. 21.

"Foreigners who are legally on the territory of Ukraine, have not been previously convicted, and meet the requirements for military service as defined by the law of Ukraine 'On Military Duty and Military Service' may be accepted on a voluntary basis (under contract) for military service in the National Guard of Ukraine," the decree says.

According to Alex Mena, an IRS official with the criminal investigations unit in New York, who met with O’Keefe Media Group’s undercover journalist, the IRS uses artificial intelligence technology to spy on American citizens and company bank accounts without a warrant or evidence to uncover what they consider fraud.

According to the source, the IRS is “going after the small people” and “destroying people’s lives.” All of the agents are “like robots,” said Mena.

This is quite ironic, as The Gateway Pundit recently reported that O’Keefe Media Group exposed the No Mas Muertes (No More Deaths) organization, a nonprofit and ministry of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tucson, for smuggling illegal immigrants from the border in Arizona.

Three gunmen opened fire inside Union Station moments after the team including Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes left the stage on what should have been a triumphant day for the city following the Chiefs victory in Las Vegas on Sunday.

At least one person was killed and 29 others were injured as fans, including young children, ran from the gunfire.

Amid the false flag terror attack, a heroic group of men were seen taking down one of the suspected perpetrators. They hauled the alleged gunman to the ground and then shouted 'we got the gun.' The men held down the suspect until cops arrived to detain him.

The identities of the three gunmen have not yet been confirmed and no motive has been given for the attack. One of those detained was pictured in a red hoodie sitting on a curb with his hands cuffed behind his back.

Exxon Threatens To Take Billions Of Dollars In 'Climate Investment' Out Of The EU

Exxon has warned the European Union that it will leave and take billions of dollars in "climate investment" (whatever that really means) with it unless Brussels makes it easier to spend those billions on transition-related projects.

The Financial Times cited the company today as saying that there was way too much red tape in the EU and it took too long to get a project going, which prompted the supermajor to consider spending its $20 billion in "decarbonization investments" for 2022 - 2027 elsewhere.

“What we’re experiencing is the deindustrialisation of the European economy and we’re concerned,” Karen McKee, president of Exxon Product Solutions, told the FT.

"Decarbonization investments" sound a lot like grift and fraud anyway, so what exactly is stopping the deindustrialisation even if Exxon's grift were to continue?

The European Union’s leadership has promised time and again it will facilitate "transition projects" but it seems it has been slow to act on this promise. According to Exxon—and a lot of other companies involved in the "transition" — getting a project off the ground in the EU is fraught with regulatory obstacles and “slow and torturous” permitting and funding procedures, per Exxon’s McKee.

The EU’s "Green Deal" plan for grift features a “predictable and simplified regulatory environment” as one of its four pillars but judging from the reactions of the business world, this has yet to go from theory to practice. Faster access to funding is the second pillar in the EU’s lineup but that, too, is taking quite long to materialize.

This, yet again, exposes one of the serious problems with a rigged centrally planned economy run by government bureaucrats. Bureaucrats do not know how free markets work and often reject them. Bureaucrats do not build infrastructure. Bureaucrats do not produce. Bureaucrats do not take risks with investment. Bureaucrats are not business buffs. Bureaucrats do not serve consumers or help with supply and demand in any way. Therefore bureaucrats are sheltered from the real economy, constantly pushing their own ideological policies.
