Ashley said a lot of things because she probably didn't want everyone crushing on her. I actually know what it's like to have multiple friends crushing on you and not seeing them that way. I completely understand where girls are coming from on that now. She's probably like me. She could easily have someone if she wanted, but everyone she seems interested in turns out to be a let down and everyone else is an abhorrent normie. I've been let down by so many friends. I keep few friends so when I find one I like, it's disappointing when they turn out to be not what I expected. She probably wants a friend really bad, not just a casual friend, but an ally. Someone she can confide in. Something beyond just a seemingly parasocial relationship that feels more platonic and doesn't revolve around being sexual to stay together. Like those relationships where two friends think sex with one another is gross but end up doing it anyway on a whim and when others find out they are like omg, you two actually did it? and they end up together. I know I'm the way I am because my parents divorce deeply affected me and the way my mom acted always left a negative impression of women in my mind. I'd rather be alone than live through what my dad experienced. I have a feeling Ashley is the same way. I believe she meant what she said in her video when she spoke about her views on marriage. She seems confused about what she wants. She seems like she likes older guys and wants to be with someone who can protect her.
