this is an artistic work for the ages. the viewer is sucked in immediately by the contrasting colors, then notices something is off about the edges of the vending machine. why, this vending machine isn't truly located in this house. but why did they just cut it out in a square instead of masking the edges? were they just too lazy? fool. you've overlooked the very intention of the artist. they surely could've made you think this pepsi themed pop machine was really in this wood paneled bedroom, but they didn't want you to wonder why a carbonated sugar water machine was in a suburban bedroom, they wanted you to think about the MEANING of the pepsi in the bedroom. perhaps the artist himself doesn't even know what that is. after all, an artist's purpose is to ask questions and not necessarily to give answers.
